The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Gomoa East in the Central Region of Ghana ,  Honorable Solomon Darko Quarm has cautioned residents in the area against building on roads and on waterways.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Gomoa East in the Central Region of Ghana ,  Honorable Solomon Darko Quarm has cautioned residents in the area against building on roads and on waterways.


 According to him, the act has been causing more harm than good hence the caution.
“We will Continue to Demolish your Buildings if you Dare Build on Roads and Waterways”, the DCE warned.


Honorable Quarm indicated that, the Gomoa East District Assembly has secure court order to demolish some 12 uncompleted buildings which have been built on roads ways and waterways at Millennium City and Nyanyano Kakraba enclave in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.


He has therefore warned owners of the said properties to avail the premises for a smooth demolition to be carried on.

He also warn potential property owners who intend to replicate the act to have a change of mind or have their properties demolished by the Assembly.


He added that "we will continue to demolish every buildings which was built on roads and waterways in Gomoa East so far as safety of the people is concerned".


Speaking in an interview, Honorable  Solomon Darko Quarm  stated that, he will ensure roads are not blocked in the area to enhance the activities of fire service and Ambulance service for easy accessibility in case of emergency.
