The chiefs and the people of Ajumako Kwanyako in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of Central Region have appealed to the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, not to retain the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area, Mr Ransford Kwasi Nyarkoh, for another term.

They are accusing the DCE of poor performance, lying to the people of the community.

Speaking to SoireeNews, the Abusuabaatan of Ajumako Kwanyako and spokesperson for the chiefs, Sofo Abraham, said the DCE is not helping the growth of the area.

He explained that ever since Honourable Ransford Kwasi Nyarkoh became DCE, he has not set his eye on the community although he sometimes sends his people to bring light bulbs for the community.

He appealed to the president to appoint a DCE who will construct their road.

"If he appoints Hon. Ransford, we will advise ourselves," he said.

"He doesn't think about us because we are living in the village but when it reaches Political season they see that we are important to him. Meanwhile, our vote also counts. He should tell us if we are not part of Ghanaians."

The spokesperson of Concerned Youth of Ajumako Kwanyako, Paa Kwabena also expressed disappointment at their health infrastructural status.

He warned the DCE and his party members not to make an attempt to campaign in 2024 at Ajumako Kwanyako if the road is not constructed. He cautioned that if they mistakenly enter the community, they will face the wrath of the residents.

He continued to say that one of NPP's chairpersons in the area, Brother Nkoom has tried everything possible to inform them about their problems but the DCE refused to respond to him making known that due to the change of government, the Community nursing school which one of their members is building has been put to a halt.

"We are pleading with the DCE to do something about it. If Hon. Ransford Kwasi Nyarkoh does not apologize to them for saying, he doesn't know that there's a hospital, they will demonstrate against him."
