A woman held a goat hostage for pushing her soup to the ground and threaten to slaughter it if the owner fails to settle her.

A woman, only identified as Abena’s Mum of Akyem Asiakwa in Abuakwa South Municipality in the Eastern region of Ghana, has held a goat hostage for pushing to a ground soup and rice she was preparing on fire for her family supper.

The angry woman says she will either slaughter the goat held hostage if the owner fails to pay for the cost of the soup and the rice.

Announcing this at a local information centre on Thursday, August 26, 2021, the woman narrated, that the owner of the goat should come and identify it and settle the cost involved amicably.

Meanwhile, the Akyem Asiakwa public health directorate has expressed his worries over the rampant stray animals on street, and this goat is no exception, according to him.

He encouraged the residents to find better means of animal farming's in order to have hygienic meat for consumption.
