Adaklu-Dzakpo is a farming community on the fringes of the Kalakpa Game Reserve in the Adaklu District of the Volta region.

In the rainy season, residents of Adaklu-Dzakpo were in danger because the only Bridge connecting the community to other nearby communities became flooded and being taken away.

This situation has existed for many years unresolved.

For the past four weeks, the activities of the communities have become a headache since the people can't go out to the nearby communities to buy or sell.

Students and teachers who travel to the Adaklu-Dzakpo community for teaching and learning could not go due to the damage of the bridge.

Speaking to the Assemblyman of the area, Mr. Sampson Gakpo, he affirmed that the community’s basic school always went on unofficial holidays because the teachers, who lived outside the community, could not come to school due to the flood.

He however appealed to the government to construct a permanent bridge to solve this challenge that poses a threat to the lives of the people
