Commissioning an ultra-modern library at Wiamose

The Minister of Education Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has described the free senior high school policy as the only hope left for Ghana.

Commissioning an ultra-modern library at Wiamose, the sector minister emphasized that looking at how equal the education sector has become, especially the secondary level which gives every Ghanaian child an opportunity to build knowledge towards developing the country makes it clear that the education sector is currently vibrant.

He made this known when unveiling an ultra-modern library and conference center built for the Ashanti Region.

The Wiamose citizens who are currently based in the  Diaspora solely funded the project.

The project is targeted at improving education in the community.

Present at the occasion to unveil the project were the chief of staff Frema Opare a native of Wiamose, the first deputy speaker of parliament honorable Joseph Osei Owusu, and Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum the minister of education who doubles as the Member of Parliament for the area.

Chairman of Wiamose Citizens in Diaspora, Dr. Daniel Apau Hyiaman stressed that the project is a learning development center that will benefit all manner of persons.

The Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Adutwum said President Akufo-Addo's vision of using education as a development tool is on course with the introduction of free SHS hence the need to support to yield a positive common goal.
