Fear Grips  Ghanaian Travellers! -As GPRTU Is Preparing To Announce New Transport Fare Coming Week

Private Transport Operators of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) under an umbrella body of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), has announced to the general public that there will an increment of transport in the coming week 

In a two two-page petition signed by the leadership of the union in the persons of David Agboado, Yaw Barima, Charlse Danso and Alhaji Tanko to the Minster of Transport and copied to Soireenews.com, the union the increment of the fare was due to the current economic situation we find ourselves as a country. 

According to the union, the prices of petroleum and spare parts keep in creasing day in and out coupled with other nuisance taxes. 

The union urged the general public to cooperate with us when they witness an increment on fares as been discussed with relevant stakeholders. 

The union also cautioned he government not to start the tollbooth operations again as been hinted by our inside source. 

The union stressed that it will resist any attempt by the government to initiate the tollbooth operation . 

The union called on all drivers to be vigilant when driving and also deal manage their stress well to help decrease the fatal accident on our roads.
