According to the chiefs and people in the aforementioned communities, the government had on numerous occasions failed to fulfill its promises made to them, especially with issues regarding the poor nature of roads in the district.

The chiefs and Residents at Baakoniaba, Sebekrom, Akentesu, Nkyesenkrom and nearby communities in Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region have expressed anger over President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo New Patriotic Party government's failure to fix the deplorable roads and bridges in their communities.
According to the chiefs and people in the aforementioned communities, the government had on numerous occasions failed to fulfill its promises made to them, especially with issues regarding the poor nature of roads in the district.
“We are not happy at all about the government because whenever people on the roads from Baakoniaba, Sebekrom, Akentesu, Nkyesenkrom and nearby communities in Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region, you will become a multi-colored human being as you will be either red or black,”  the chiefs and people in these communities said.
They expressed emphasis on the poor nature of the major roads in many parts of the district.
According to the residents, they have been abandoned by their executives especially their member of parliament, Honourable Isaac Kwame Asiamah since he became a Member of Parliament for their constituency for 20 years.
They said, their MP normal visit to their communities and promised them during campaign seasons and after the elections they don't see him again.
The same thing as their District Chief Executive, Mr saac Kofi Marfo, he didn't know that the area is part of his jurisdiction,they added.
Speaking with the media, they said, their area is not far from Nyinahin the district capital,it is about only four(4) kilometers but due to the state of the roads and bridges students cannot go to school and they can't even take a pregnant women to hospital by vehicles.
"We normally confront our executives and raising our concerns about the stretch,but it seems their plea has fallen on deaf ears but it's not a campaign time.
"We are unhappy about the dire state of the roads.They are therefore,calling on the government to, as a matter of urgency fix it for them else, we will deal will any politician who will come there to campaign during the elections time.

However, several efforts made by the Soireenews.com to get the DCE and MP to respond to the allegation levelled against them proved unsuccessful.
