Chelsea will play Arsenal at Wembley in the FA Cup final on August 1, 2020, after a 3-1 win against the Red Devils in the semi-finals on Sunday.

The Gunners on Saturday, July 18, 2020, booked a place in final after frustrating defending champions, Manchester City in a 2-0 win.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made four changes from their win over Crystal Palace as Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, and Mason Greenwood all dropped out as Frank Lampard also made three changes from the win over Norwich. Willy Caballero retained his position in goal as the cup goalkeeper as Pulisic was rested ahead of Wednesday encounter with Liverpool.

De Gea was forced to make few punches with the ball a couple of times questioning the firmness of United’s backline in the initial minutes.

Olivier Giroud opened the scores in a lengthy injury time after Eric Bailly was stretched off, with oxygen, after taking a couple of blows to the head.

A nice drive by Azpilicueta on the downright clipped a nice ball into the near post. Giroud got across Lindelof and flicked what looked like a tame finish from seven yards but it somehow got through De Gea's body and squirmed over the line.

A minute after the half time break, Jason Mount drove forward and kept a pot shot from 25 yards. It was straight at De Gea, whose head was still in the dressing room by the look of things. The ball somehow squirmed through his grasp and into the net.

Maguire and Williams had their hands on heads very stunned at the error made by the United goalkeeper.

Harry Maguire scored an own goal in the 74-minute to put Chelsea 3-0  ahead. The Blues took advantage of United’s shattered defense and drove through the area after Alonso beat his man on the left and rolled a good ball into the middle. Rudiger challenged at the near post with Maguire as the ball took a ricochet off both off them and beat De Gea, who seem not concentrating then.

Lampard’s side took over the game but the Red Devils fought back and were awarded a penalty when Hudson-Odoi clipped martial in the box. Bruno Fernandes scored the consolation to end the game in Chelsea’s favor.

It was redemption for the Blues who had lost their three previous matches with United this season cruised into the final, which takes place on August 1.
