Arsenal are through to the FA Cup final after a 2-0 win against Manchester City in the semi-finals on Saturday night.

Two goals from Aubameyang in both halves gave the Gunner the superiority over Guardiola’s side after a luminous play to deny the champions the platform to defend for the title once more.

Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang replaced Reiss Nelson, who featured against Liverpool last Wednesday in the Premier League as Alexandre-Lacazette and Nicholas Pepe joined Aubameyang in an exciting front three. Hector Bellerin, Dani Ceballos, and Maitland Niles were included in the starting lineup.

Kevin De Bruyne, Eric Garica, Ayermic Laporte, Raheem Sterling, and Riyad Mahrez were all called into the team after missing the win over Bournemouth.

Aubameyang scored the opener in the 19-minute after Arsenal were asked to do much defending in the early minutes against City’s attack.

It was a lovely build-up down the right with Pepe cutting back in. He sent a deep ball over Walker to find Aubameyang at the back post. The angle was tight and he had to take it first-time yet he showed his class with a quite beautifully placed finish into the far corner.

The goal was his 65 goal for the Gunners in all competitions since he joined in 2018.

Sterling’s second-half penalty appeal was after driving into the box down the left and Mustafi goes to ground, as he took a bit of a Sterling and the ball. It was, am City corner but Sterling asked for VAR review, which was a no.

Aubameyang added a second in the 71-minute after Pepe got his team up the pitch with a forceful run in a counter. He played a ball back to Tierney, who capped a fantastic performance, with a sensational ball over the top for Aubameyang. The Gabonese was played onside by Mendy and waltzed through on goal and then cheekily nutmegged Ederson.
