EIGHTY WAREHOUSES HAVE BEEN BUILT & FUNCTIONING- AGRIC. MINISTER

The Minister of Food And Agriculture, Owusu Afriyie Akoto has told the parliament government has built eighty warehouses across the country to store 1000 metric tonnes of farm produce.

He also revealed that there's no shortage of poultry feeds. Though he indicated that feed prices went up in 2021 due to the high cost of maize and millet.

The Minister, was answering questions on the floor of parliament about the shortages and high price of poultry feeds and the storage of farm produce usage.

Besides, answering a question from the MP for North Tongu Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa whether COCOBOD had engaged in write-offs of expired chemicals and fertilizers.

Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa accused the Ministry and COCOBOD Directors of the write-offs without parliamentary approvals.

Minister Owusu Afriyie Akoto said there had been write-offs which he explained.
