A report that the Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Honourable Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor has disclosed to the media that the minority whip, Honourable Muntaka Mubarak pointed out the move was illegality during the adoption of the Prof. Ntiamoah-Baidu committee report of emoluments for the executive.

According to him, the executive was consequently asked to shelve that portion of the report.

Mr Dafeamekpor disclosed he's in the process of filing a suit at the Supreme Court over the matter.

He explained that “it wasn’t the house that made those recommendations rather our mandate was to approve of the recommendations touching in Article 71 of its holders”.

“it is unconstitutional hence, parliament doesn’t approve of such illegalities”, he mentioned.
