The Chief of Edubiase (Edubiasehene), Oguahyia Oduropanin Birikorang has expressed worry about the slow pace of development at Abadwum, a farming community in the Adansi North District of the Ashanti Region.

Speaking to Soiree News 24, the Edubasehene blamed the happenings on a 27-year chieftaincy dispute in the area.

''The former Odikro, Nana Boakye Ansah was destooled by my uncle, 27 years ago but has ever since refused to vacate the seat and took the case to court. Thankfully, the Obuasi high court has ruled against him and very soon a new Odikro will be presented to further foster developments'' he said.

This was after he went to Abadwum to inspect works on a 24 seater toilet facility he is building for the community.

Oguahyia further revealed that he wants to build three [3] toilets in the community.

He, therefore, called on the government to assist in the development of the jurisdiction.

He further expressed worry in the Akufo Addo's government for ignoring the Abadwum junction to Abadwum road, a promise Vice President Dr. Bawumia made when he toured the Ashanti Region last year.

He however expressed optimism that the 3-kilometer road will be tarred in the second term of the Akufo Addo government.
