The Kwahu South District Security Council (DISEC) has arrested 32 offenders of Covid-19 protocols.

The flouters were arrested yesterday and punished for their offenses.

The District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr.  Atta Ofori Senior in a statement said, DISEC has adopted strategic means to arrest and prosecute flouters of the diseases safety protocols.

He said the offenders are made to clean the gutters and the open environment.

The DCE said the district has been able to maintain cleanliness in the municipality since the implementation of the rules over a month ago.

He said a total of 700 people in the district have been arrested so far for flouting the Covid-19 protocols.

Mr.  Atta Ofori Senior, however, commended the Kwahu South District Police Command for the rigorous enforcement of the Covid-19 laws, a step he believes will stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Consequently, he has encouraged the Kwahu residents to comply with the covid-19 protocols to stop its spread.
