THE EASTERN Regional branch executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have raised an alarm over continuous harassment and intimidation meted out their members and supporters by the supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) during the ongoing limited voters registration exercise in the Upper West Akim Constituency of the district office of the Electoral Commission (EC).
Following this regard, the executives of the NDC in the region have called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to, immediately come to their help by way of beefing up the security in the Upper West Akim Electoral Commission's registration centre, particularly at Adeiso enclave.
 
According to the NDC, their call has become very important because these violence actions penetrates by NPP supporters and members in the constituency can easily breed violence clash and that the immediate intervention of the IGP to beef up security in the area would help to avert any unforseen circumstances.
