Decomposing Body Of A man Found At Kwarteng In Ahafo

A man believed to be in his 40s has been found dead at Kwarteng in the Asutifi South District of the Ahafo Region.

The body which is in the decomposing state was found in the bush last Thursday.

Assemblyman for the Electoral Area, Mr.Thomas Obeng Twumasi, who explained the issue to Soireenews said the deceased is an alien.

According to him, the unknown man may have lived on an uncompleted poultry farm in the community.

He said although the state of the body has made it difficult for easy identification, however, no one has complained of a missing person ever since the incident happened.

He alleged that a medical officer has requested a sum of one thousand Ghana cedis in order for the decomposing body to be buried despite orders from the Goaso Traditional council. 

"I informed Nana Akwasi Bosomprah (I) Omanhene of Goaso Traditional council where the community has been ordered to bury the body but the Medical officer who visited the place requested one Thousand Ghana cedis(1000) before he can allow us, the assembly member alleged.
