Bekwai NPP Deputy Youth Organizer in Police Grips for slapping an NPP Electoral Area Coordinator 

The Bekwai Constituency Deputy Youth Organizer, Francis Siaw is in the grips of the police for slapping Honourable Katakyie Opoku Agyemang, an Assembly Member who doubles as the New Patriotic Party Electoral Area Coordinator for the Dadease Electoral Area.

The incident occurred on Tuesday 24th August 2021 at 5 pm.

Hon Katakyie was invited by his polling station chairman to attend their local polling station meeting.

Upon reaching the venue, Francis Siaw (deputy youth organizer) who was also at the meeting instructed Hon Katakyie to leave the venue since he doesn't deserve to be at the meeting; the reason being that he has been suspended by the constituency executive committee.

Honourable Katakyie at this moment decided to justify what brought him there. As soon as he opened his mouth to talk he was slapped by Francis Siaw (deputy youth organizer) to shut up.

Honourable Katakyie decided not to retaliate but rather rush to Abodom Police Station to make a report and get a medical form to attend hospital for treatment.

The Abodom police, therefore, had no option, but to arrest Francis Siaw for assault. At the time of filing this report, Siaw was at the counter back for police interrogation, but the Constituency 1st Vice Chairman, the Organiser and Communication Officer were there to secure a bail for him.
