Child and Infant mortality declines in Bono Region - Paediatric Department of Sunyani Regional hospital

The Medical Doctor at the Paediatric Department at Sunyani Regional hospital Dr. Maame Araba Oduro says statistics available shows that the child and the infant mortality rate has declined to the lowest in the region.

She, therefore, attributed the decline to what she termed as the "Operation Zero Mortality" project the hospital has adopted.
She explained that the death of every child is an enormous tragedy and achieving the global goal for 2030 would be a huge achievement for the hospital.

She said Operation Zero Mortality which started about six months ago aims to eradicate child and infants death.

She urged health workers to improve upon their responses to patience.

She called upon caretakers to also avail themselves of proper health education to enable them to take proper care of their children and infants.
