Dozens of Ghanaian police officers sue over promotions

According to Ghana's study leave with pay policy, 82 police officers were not promoted after completing their studies, and they have sued the government for this.

The officers, under the leadership of deputy inspector Kofi Osal, contend that despite successfully completing their coursework during the 2017–2018 academic year, they were denied their well-deserved promotions and admission to police college.

They said that the action was "unfair and unreasonable" and asked the Accra High Court to impose an order mandating that the police service give them the promotions.
