Borussia Dortmund have rejected Manchester United’s £91.3m (€100m) offer for Jadon Sancho.

The Red Devils ‘leave it or take it’ offer was been refused by the German club, insisting that the player is not for sale after Manchester United failed to meet their August 10 deadline.

The offer was for an initial €80m rising to up to €100m according to Sky Sports.

Jadon Sancho was left out of Dortmund’s squad to play Bayern in the domestic Super Cup game on Wednesday due to a “respiratory infection”.

Sancho has been chased by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side for months and now that the final bid has bid turned down, the Red Devils would turn their focus elsewhere and find a player in the capacity of Sancho as the transfer window closes next week.

Ivan Perisic, Douglas Costa, Kingsey Coman and Ismaila Sarr are named targeted by Manchester United who can help improve their squad and compete in Europe and the Premier League.

"It's more hope than expectation with regards to Jadon Sancho and earlier in the window, we discussed alternative targets and there's a lot of work going on behind the scenes - perhaps more than on Sancho regarding who they could bring in,” Dharmesh Sheth told The Transfer Show.

"The names being mentioned were Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic, Douglas Costa of Juventus, Bayern's Kingsley Coman - but one name that has emerged today is Watford's, Ismaila Sarr.

"Watford will not consider a loan - they only want to sell and he is valued at £50m."
