The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Dormaa West District Assembly in the Bono Region, Mr. Francis Kwadwo Oppong has poised to support the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to safeguard the future of Dormaa West's youth in the use of online tools to develop their career paths.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Dormaa West District Assembly in the Bono Region, Mr. Francis Kwadwo Oppong has poised to support the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to safeguard the future of Dormaa West's youth in the use of online tools to develop their career paths

The DCE commended the government of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for making tremendous efforts to invest heavily in internet safety in the country.

Mr. Oppong made this statement in an interview with Soireenews.com today [Monday, May 16, 2022] when he together with some assembly staff led by the Dormaa West District Assembly Coordinating Director, Mr. Idrissu Mahama joined by officers from Ghana Investment For Electronic Communication (GIFEC) to look for a place to erect a mast for rural telecommunication network at Adiemmra/Nzezera, a community in the Asuopiri West Electoral Area of the Dormaa West District. 

Manager at GIFEC, Mr. Akowua Terrence said the government in its quest to ensure that rural areas in Ghana have access to telephone networks is putting up over 2000 rural telephony networks which Adiemmra/ Nzezera is not left out.

He said the project will start soon and will be completed in due course. 
The Obaahemaa of the Community thanked the DCE and the government for the intervention. 
She offered a piece of land to be used for the project. 

The DCE was accompanied by some polling station executives and the Electoral area Coordinator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the area, Mr. Alex Agyekum.
