Dormaa West DCE Sues Nsromma 92.1 FM And Two NDC Members For Defamation Of Character
The Dormaa West District Chief Executive (DCE), Honourable Francis Kwadwo Oppong has filed a defamation suit aganst the Nsromma 92.1 FM and two members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Dormaa West Constituency of the Bono Region in the persons of Mr Stephen Azorba and Bright Guggisberg Ofori at the Sunyani High Court.

The DCE has described as libel and malicious falsehood telecasted on November 26, 2022 on Nsromma 92.1 FM by the defendants to the millions of their listeners.
 
 
He is also praying the court to restrain the defendants from any further telecasting  the defamatory matter and to also apologize following their telecast that the DCE has used an amount of GH¢ 50000 to telecast the three Ghana Matches at the just ended FIFA world cup in Qatar.
A copy of the writ of summons in Soireenews.com's possession named the defendants as Mr Stephen Azorba, Bright Guggisberg Ofori and Nsromma 92.1 FM.
Speaking in an interview with Sorireenews. com, the DCE said: a good name is better than riches. 
 
 
"All a man has got for himself is a good name and we live in a democracy of the rule of law, l feel very bruised and hurt and l find the publication very defamatory and that is why l am taking such an action; to seek for justice and to repair my his image. We hope that the court will help me to repair my image that has been recklessly damaged," he noted.
