Domestic Fire Is Leading Bushfire Despite The Harmattan Season- NADMO Directorate
Mr Osei Owusu explained it further and advise the general public on what to do about it when they see such things on the gas cylinders
Ahenkorah Odura Mary Mr Stephen Osei Owusu, the NADMO Director of Abuakwa North Municipal Assembly in the eastern region has said, domestic fire is causing a lot of problems for people as compared to the bushfire even though we are in the harmattan season.
, according to him, at the beginning of the year 2022, the country has recorded more domestic fire outbreak cases than that bushfires.
Mr Osei Owusu adds, most of these domestic fire outbreaks is being caused by old or expired electrical cables, and there is a need for people to check and do rewiring especially on their old buildings to help stop some of them these unforeseen domestic fires.
Mr Stephen Owusu adds, again some people also took it upon themselves to do extra wiring in their rooms meanwhile they are not qualified electricians to do so and end up burning the whole building.
He stressed all these petty petty mistakes have made many people to lost their property to fire, therefore advising the general public to go in for the services of qualified electricians to come and fixed all their works concerning the electrical to help save lives and property.
He didn't end there, he continue by saying that gas cylinder is also one of the causes of the domestic fires.
Stating that most people when they put the regulator on the cylinder and smiles ascent coming out of it what they do is to put a stone on it to stop the very wrong scent.
Mr Osei Owusu explained it further and advise the general public on what to do about it when they see such things on the gas cylinders.
He urged Ghanaians to desist from any form of activity that can cause fire outbreaks and destroy properties because we are in the harmattan season.
