Disregard Mischievous Reports Against Verification System On This Year's CSSPS Exercise - PRO of Ahafo Regional Education Directorate
The verification of selected schools before CSSPS exercise is not to change schools but to confirm the initial choices selected

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has informed the students, staff, parents/guardians, and stakeholders that this year’s Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) exercise begins with the verification of students’ school choices before the computerized School Selection and placement are done.
Speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ahafo Regional Education directorate explained that the verification process initiated by the Ghana Education Service is to ensure accuracy in students' choice information before they are placed in their selected second cycle schools.
He emphasized that this exercise is not to change or reverse the initial choices of schools but to confirm them to avert blame on the computerized school Selection placement system secretariat.
Mr.Added that students, parents/guardians will receive an SMS message from the CSSPS which contains a web portal: https://csspsverify.com and USSD short code number *899*88# with a 4digit token number.
He added that Students who may have errors in their initial selection should click on the edit button available on the web portal after their selection details are displayed with a copy of the original selection form.
He added that Students can also send an email with the copy of the original selection form to [email protected].
The Ghana Education Service has announced that the 2023 school placement exercise will begin with the verification of students’ school choices.
In a statement, the Head of the Public Relations Unit, Cassandra Twum Ampofo explained ”this verification process is to ensure accuracy in students’ choice information before they are placed in their selected Second Cycle Schools.”
The verification exercise which commenced on 14th January, 2023 will end on 22nd January, 2023.
According to the GES, “Students, parents/guardians will receive SMS message from the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) which contains web portal: https://csspsverify.com and USSD short code number *899*88# with 4digit token number.”
“Students who may have errors in their initial selection should call click on the edit button available on the web portal after their selection details are displayed with a copy of the original selection form. Students can also send an email with the copy of the original selection form to cssps2021@gmail com,” it added.
The National Coordinator, CSSPS, Mark Sasu-Mensah in an interview on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', Monday insisted that the "exercise is not to change schools but to verify or confirm schools already chosen as well as correct errors"
