The former Member of Parliament (MP) for Techiman North and Deputy Bono East Regional Minister Honourable Martin Oti Gyarko has through the support of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) presented and installed 10 Desktop computers and other equipment to Aworowa Methodist Basic School in Techiman North.

The gesture according to the former MP is to enhance the teaching and learning of ICT in schools in the Techiman North District. 

Speaking to newsmen after the installation of the computers, the Bono East and Ahafo Regional Manager of GIFEC, Mr Arnold Johnson said the equipment will help improve teaching and learning of ICT in schools.

He urged the school authorities to take good care of the equipments for them to last longer.

Mr Arnold Johnson finally promised that GIFEC will continue to supply more schools with computers to improve teaching and learning of ICT in schools in Techiman North.

For his part, the headmaster of Aworowa Methodist JHS Mr Stephen Kwarteng Preko praised the former MP  Hon. Martin Oti Gyarko and the management of GIFEC for the timely intervention.

He said the computers will aid the teachers and students of the school in improving teaching and learning of ICT.

He finally promised that authorities of the school will ensure that machines are been put into good use towards enhancing the teaching and learning of ICT at Aworowa Methodist JHS.
