Oseadeyor Akumfi Ameyaw 4th, Member of the Ghanaian Council of State and Omanhene of Techiman Traditional Area in the Bono East Regional Capital has charged the Ministries of National Security, Interior Communications, Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO), and all responsible stakeholders to take immediate and drastic measures to reduce the operations of Ponzi schemes and other cyber frauds, as they pose a serious threat to the government's digitalization agenda.

Oseadeyor Akumfi Ameyaw 4th, Member of the Ghanaian Council of State and Omanhene of Techiman Traditional Area in the Bono East Regional Capital has charged the Ministries of National Security, Interior Communications, Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO), and all responsible stakeholders to take immediate and drastic measures to reduce the operations of Ponzi schemes and other cyber frauds, as they pose a serious threat to the government's digitalization agenda. 

According to Oseadeyor Akumfi Ameyaw, a banker by profession who recently retired as the Western Regional Manager of Ghana Commercial Bank, it is very sad to note that as the government makes relentless efforts to digitize Ghana's economy, criminals have taken advantage to steal from people's electronic accounts or mobile money wallets. However, the quick actions of EOCO and Partners could put a stop to these activities. 

When the new Executive Director of EOCO C.O.P. Yaa Tiwaah Addo-Dankwah paid a courtesy call on Nananom of Techiman Traditional Council as part of her maiden working visit to the Bono East area, Oseadeyor Akumfi Ameyaw IV made the call. 
Earlier in his welcome address, Bono East Regional Minister Hon. Kwasi Adu-Gyan promised EOCO his support in the fight against corruption and crime.
 
Finally, in an interview with our journalist Nana Kwadwo Adu, COP Yaa Tiwaah Addo-Dankwah, Executive Director of EOCO, committed to doing everything possible in her new role to make crime undesirable in the country.
