City authorities to decongest Nkwakwa Municipality

The Eastern Regional Minister, Kwame Acheampong has hinted that authorities will soon embark on demolition exercises to ensure easy vehicular movement.

According to the Minister, there are a lot of unauthorized structures put up in the Kwahu West Municipality, especially Nkawkaw township which has blocked waterways causing flooding.

He maintained that the demolition will pave way for water to flow during the rainy season.

He charged Nkawkaw residents to desist from building along water logs and government properties to avoid future occurrences.

Meanwhile the Member of Parliament for the Nkawkaw Constituency, Honourable Joseph Frimpong advised chiefs in the area to desist from selling lands to individuals which are not authorized.

However, Nana Sono Adade, chief of Nkawkaw was happy and expressed gratitude to the authorities and promise to support the exercise.
