Savulugu former NADMO Director Arrested for chopping Gh¢43k free

A former Director of the National Disaster Management Organization in the Savulugu Municipality of the Northern Region, Alhassan Seidu Mahama with staff ID number 742465 who vacated post but whose name continues to appear on the payroll of the organization has been arrested after serval effort to retrieve the money proved futile.
The Director-General for NADMO, Nana Agyemang Prempeh made this known to the Public Accounts Committee.
According to him, the former director is under police detention and he will be processed to court any time soon.
Mr. Alhassan has received up to the tune of GHS 43,846.92 for no work done according to the Auditor General report.
The Auditor-General report recommended that the former two directors at the Savelugu NADMO office, Mr. Alhassan Sulemana and Mr. Mahama Nasiru salaries should be blocked, and failure to do so the office of Nadmo will be surcharged.
This was revealed when the chairman of the Public accounts committee Hon. James Avardzi Klutse inquire from the Director-General of NADMO Nana Agyemang Prempeh about the status of the said query raised in the 2018 Auditor-Generals report at the committee's sitting.
Nana Agyemang Prempeh told the committee that his outfit placed an embargo on their salaries for them to refund the money.
