Chief Of Kroboano Calls On Gov't To Complete Abandoned School Block
The Odikro of Kroboano, a farming community in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region, Nana Yaw Affi, has asked for the completion of a discarded kindergarten block established by a cocoa buying company.
Addressing a press conference, the chief stated that their wards have to walk several miles to an adjacent community for school.
He added that several appeals made to the state authorities have felt on their deaf ears, therefore calling on the Philanthropist and other stakeholders to come to their aid.
“This is a farming community having about a thousand population. Our major problem is that our children have to walk several distances to nearby communities to school.
How can these children pass their exams? Truly, this is affecting the education of our children," he noted.
The Municipal assembly has abandoned a kindergarten block commenced by a cocoa buying company. We are appealing to the government to at least complete it to ease the burden for us.”
