Chief advises residents to desist from buying building materials from contractors

Acting Krontihene of Goka Traditional area in Jaman North District of Bono Region, Nana Vasco Broni, has cautioned Ghanaians, especially residents of Jaman North, to desist from buying construction materials from road contractors.
He noted with regret that the sale of construction materials like cement has been prevalent among some contractors, “which results in shoddy work done on most of our roads”.
The Krontihene was speaking at a mini durbar to officially introduce Engineer Alex of M.NAG Construction Ltd, who has been assigned to work on some feeder roads in the district, to some chiefs in the area.
The immediate past Deputy Bono Regional Minister, Siaka Stevens, who was present at the programme, added that so far as the development of the district was concerned, his position makes him an influential stakeholder.
He disclosed that the ongoing construction of feeder roads in the area as a result of his lobbying skills during his tenure and was ready to partner with the current MP for the area, Ahenkwaa Yaw Frederick, to complete developmental projects.
