Central Region: Stop Wrapping food in plastics, it causes cancer. Gyesehene Advice.

The Gyesehene of Gomoa Assin Traditional Area in the Gomoa Central District of Central Region, Nana  Kobina  Kwan II has called for an embargo on plastic-wrapped foods.

He said the move would help eradicate the menace of cancer in the country.

The Gyesehene made the apple of   Soireenews Reporter in the Central Region after his doctor advised him to stop eating food wrapped in plastic as they are poisonous to human health.

"Effects of cancer, he further emphasizes also causes challenges with menstruation, sperm production challenges ", he added.

He noted that the binding substance in the rubber contains which is harmful including leach which h.causes damage to t   human body.
"Rubber contains leach which is harmful to the body and destroys the internal functions especially when the food is very hot",  he said.
"The chemicals that the rubber is made from are dangerous to our health especially when it is hot", he added.

The Gyesehene further stated that he has been a victim, thus, he has the basis to talk about it.
He called on the Ghana Education Service(GES), churches,s, and other stakeholders to intensify education on the menace to save the nation's future leaders.

The chief finally pleaded witGhanaiansns if we can go back to the olden days we they use plantain sucker leaves to wrap food like banku because that o   was very healthy.
