Cargo Car Runs Over Sleeping mate, kills him instantly

A cargo vehicle ran over a driver's mate at Sunyani-Tanoso in the Ahafo Region, killing him on the spot.

The incident occurred yesterday, Monday morning when the deceased and his driver had made a stop at Tanoso.

According to reports, the decease of about 20 years old whose name is unknown was deeply asleep under the parked Cargo car after he and the driver were relaxing when they had travelled from a long journey.

The driver who is yet to be identified after wakeup started the car and ran over the mate killing him instantly when he had forgotten that his mate was under the vehicle.

The driver together with the cargo car has not been seen.

The Tano Police, however, have said they are on investigations to apprehend the suspected murderer (driver) but the body of the mate has been deposited at the Sunyani Municipal Hospital.
