The father of deceased female Police Constable, Sandra Asiedu, who was allegedly murdered in cold blood by her civilian “boyfriend” in Damongo in the West Gonja Municipality has spoken out.

Mr Victor Osei has expressed sincere grief at the demise of her daughter and how the Tutuka Police rejected their report at the time of turning up at the Police Station when Sandra Adu was out of reach on the evening before her demise.

Per his address, the Police involvement would have led to the arrest of the guy suspected to have committed the crime yet the refusal to attach urgency possibly might have led to the escape of the alleged murderer.

A statement from the Police said the suspect, who is currently at large, might have stabbed the victim with a knife after she was found in a pool of blood with wounds believed to be knife stabs.

"They (friends and families) called to tell me that my daughter is out of reach," Soiree news correspondent Yaw Opoku, in an exclusive interview with Mr Victor Osei, narrated.

"We had nowhere to call when we learnt about the ordeal. We contacted her line but to no avail so we went to Tutuka Police Station to report the case but they didn’t attend to us.

"As we were about to leave the station, a man came around to report that his son was about to hang himself to death but couldn’t and has walked out. The case was connected to ours but the Police did not hear us out. We went back to the station the following day and they reiterated that they cannot do anything about our situation.

"At the station, we were told that my daughter’s door has been broken and she has been found dead in her room on her bed," he sorrowfully added.

Mr Osei told that all the family demand is the arrest and prosecution of the alleged murder of his beloved.

"She is my eldest child and I am broken. I am full of distress and all I want is to see justice. The man behind it we believe is not dead and we pray the Police locate him wherever he is."

Her corpse has since been deposited at the West Gonja Hospital morgue awaiting autopsy. Meanwhile, the Police are on a manhunt for the boyfriend as he is “highly suspected.
