They have withdrawn their services indefinitely until the government addresses their concerns.
The Association is by the strike protesting poor conditions of service; insisting that they deserve better conditions of service now.
According to CLOGSAG, members will resume work only if the government meets its demand.
The leadership of the Association has urged its members to be resolute until their demands are met.
It could’ve been recalled that in December last year, the Association threatened to embark on industrial strike action. It noted that the conditions of its members have been overlooked while other services had an enhanced salary structure.
According to the CLOGSAG, a year after its proposed salary structure was sent to the Ministry of Finance to deal with it, the Ministry is yet to respond despite persistent reminders.
The Association noted that it feels sidelined, therefore, the need to withdraw their services.
Soiree News visit to the various Assemblies in the Bono Region saw an empty edifice with some only having government appointees and members who are not members of CLOSAG around.
Unlike the previous ones where some members will be embarking on the strike whiles others will also be available at their respective offices, this one seems a bit like a mutual agreement action.
In an interview with the Chief Director for the Bono Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), Andrews Okumah Nawil, he noted the action would hurt the running of the council.
“This action will stall activities at various Assemblies”, he Confesses for the government to as a matter of urgency attend to their needs.
