The concerned citizens of Jaman South Municipal in the Bono Region are calling on President Akufo-Addo to maintain the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Alhaji Abuu to continue with the smooth development

The citizens in a press conference on March 28, 2021indicated that the MCE is the only government representative who has rendered credible account on his stewardship to the people thereby promoting transparency in his dealings.

On the issue of the ‘skirt and blouse’ vote that engulfed the 2020 general election in the area, the group argued that then MP, Yaw Afful was rather responsible for the party’s woes and not the MCE as perceived by a section of the public.

Speaking to the host of Ark in the morning Monitored by Soiree News correspondent, Nana Ama Asiedu on Monday, March 29, 2021, the secretary of the concerned citizens, Boabeng Clarence noted that in spite of the numerous accusations, insults, and the camps created within the party, the MCE has been able to stand firm, implying that he is the only person to unite the party front towards recapturing the parliamentary seat in the constituency.

Mr. Boabeng also acknowledged the tenacity of the MCE and his love for the party and people of the area and believes maintaining him will speedup development.

He added that the NDC MP, William Okofo Darteh did not win the seat on merit because the constituents were fed up with Yaw Afful.
