Bono NDC MPs  Express Shock Over Deplorable Roads,  Ask Akufo Addo To Fix Them

Some members of parliament in Bono are overly shocked over the deplorable state of roads in the Region.

Raising the matter on the floor of parliament, MP for Jaman South Mr. William Okoffo Dartey expressed that the terrible nature of the roads has adversely affected businesses in the Jaman South Constituency.

According to the MP, existing businesses are dying while the poor roads have deterred investors from establishing companies within the constituency.

He added that constituents contract numerous diseases in harmattan season as a result of uncontrollable dust adding in communities but “the rainy seas

According to him, the poor roads have developed potholes making driving and walking very cumbersome on comes with its own challenges”.

"Sometimes it is difficult to live in my constituency especially when all the other four municipal assemblies in the region have asphaltic surfaces except we living in Jaman South municipality”.

The Jaman South MP mentioned that “my people contribute to the development of this country via our cashew production so why can’t the government give us good roads,” he enquired.

He further explained that the constituency produces farm produce in larger quantities however farmers are unable to send their farm produce to the market for sale due to the poor state of the roads.

The legislator said communities like Drobo, Kwameseikrom , Japekrom, Kwasiboukrom, Katakyiekrom, Gonasua, Kromonom, Sebreni, Dodosuo, Kwamseikro, Baano no.1, 2, and 3 lack proper roads to carry on their economic activities.

 Adding up, the Member of parliament for Tain constituency, Mr. Sulemana Adama said the Region is indeed bedeviled with a poor road network.

He mentioned that the Tain Constituency also has road deficit “whether East, West, North or South non is having good road network.”

Mr. Ahenkorah Yaw Fredrick, MP for Jaman North added that, since the Constituency was established in 2004, the area has been left out, no proper roads have been constructed.

The MPs however have appealed to President Akufo- Addo’s led Government to fix all the Bono deplorable roads as soon as possible
