Ahenkorah Odura Mary The general secretary for the biggest opposition party NDC has stated that , it is time to have a government that understands democracy and makes sure the democracy is used according to the law, he made this during Bono Regional Tein general meeting held at wenchi.
The general secretary for NDC, Johnson Aseidu Nketia has stated that it is time for all Ghanaian and civil society organizations to know that, democracy is for the citizens and not for the government and its officials alone but it is the citizens who are supposed to enjoy the democracy of the country.
He said a situation where the citizen's rights are taken from them, reduces the democracy that the country has and there is a need for the government to use the democracy of the country wisely without any abuse.
He also urge the ruling government to do the right thing that will help the country's democracy to improve better, he said the way the country's democracy is running out of the nana Addo government is making the security weak and it is time for all Ghanaians to understand the meaning of democracy and how it should be used by the country and its citizens.
