In fulfilment of the constitution of the New Patriotic Party, the Bono Regional Secretariat chaired by Kwame Baffoe (Abronye DC) has held their Annual Delegates Congress supervised by the party's General Secretary John Boadu.

Addressing the party folks, Mr Boadu indicated that, the Party in the Region did not let down the NPP in the 2020 general elections.

He mentioned that the region was the third to secure the highest votes for the President and added that, the loss of certain parliamentary seats was a result of several factors including the prices of cashew, issues arising from parliamentary primaries among others. 

The General Secretary also commended the constituency and Regional Executives for their hard work and dedication. He among other things called for unity and peaceful coexistence amongst the officers of the party and urged them to work harder in ensuring the party breaks the 8-year political cycle.

On his part, the Bono Regional chairman Kwame Baffoe reiterated that the issue of "skirt and blouse" in most of the constituencies undermined the fortunes of the party and most aspirants. 

The conference saw the presence of high profiled personalities in the party including The Bono Regional Minister Justina Owusu Banahene, National Executives, Regional Executives, Constituency Executives, MDCE’s, Members of Parliament, CEO of state institutions, aspirants of various positions among others.

After the conference, the Regional Chairman leading a delegation of Regional Executives together with the Regional Minister led John Boadu to cut sod for the construction of an ultra-modern regional party office. 

The project is expected to be completed in 12 months.
