The Bono East Regional Minister, Kwasi Adu Gyan has charged past Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives to support their successors in driving development in their respective areas and Ghana at large.

He was speaking on Wednesdays at the confirmation of the President's nominees for MDCEs in Techiman North and South at a colourful ceremony graced by chiefs, party executives, the two past MDCEs, John Donyinah, and Peter Mensah.

Mr Adu Gyan implored traditional leaders to throw their weights behind the chief executives to enable them to execute the vision of the ruling government.

Techiman Municipal Chief Executive, Benjamin Yaw Gyarko garnered 39 YES votes out of the total 45 Assembly Members representing 86.7% as against 6 NO votes thus 13.3%.

He expressed gratefulness to God and the President of the Republic for the opportunity to serve the people.

In a related story in Tuobodom, Everson Addo Donkor was also confirmed as DCE for Techiman North District with 27 YES votes out of the total 35 assembly members representing 77.1% as against 8 NO votes representing 22.9%.

He assured the people of his readiness to serve.
