The Bono East Health Director says regardless of the coronavirus pandemic, residents must be given quality health care to inspire lives.

The Regional Health Director for Bono East, Dr Fred Adomako Boateng, has given assurance his outfit is committed to ensuring quality health care delivery amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

He stated that the emergence of the pandemic had affected the delivery of quality healthcare in the country.

The Regional Health Director explained that access to healthcare “is a fundamental human right, but the strain that the COVID-19 pandemic has placed on healthcare systems everywhere has affected the provision of primary health care”.

He added his outfit had however not ceased providing efficient services in various health centres in the region.

Dr Boateng speaking on a theme dubbed ‘Continuity of Quality Service Delivery in the midst of Covid-19’ gave assurance the directorate would deliver high-quality health care service that are effectively coordinated within a strong public health system in the region. 

We are committed to providing essential public health services to clients, he added at the annual performance review meeting of the regional health directorate at Kintampo North on Wednesday.
