Berekum West District Green Ghana Project Focuses on 13,200 tree to prevent encroaches at Jinijini Senior High School Lands.

The District Chief Executive Officer of Berekum West District in the Bono Region Honourable Dominic Oppong together with the District Agric Director Mr. Frederick Danso, Forestry Commission Gurds, and Berekum West Constituency New Patriotic Party Chairman, Mr. Peter Boampong today embarked upon the Green Ghana project to plant trees of about 13,200 in the District, especially at the Jinijini Senior High School.

Honorable Dominic Oppong speaking to the media after the project said, the purpose for today's screen Ghana project, targeted Jinijini Senior High School where encroaches are taking over the school land and several 2400 trees were planted there to help prevent encroaches from taking over the school land which already has been occupied by some encroaches.

The District Chief Executive Officer in his speech commended the President, Nana Akufo Addo for the initiative to Green Ghana and calls on all to support the exercise to protect the trees planted to help serve the purpose of the initiative.

The District Agric Director, Mr. Fredrick Danso also added that the focus was on the Jinijini Senior High School was a very laudable approach to help protect the school land from encroaches since if care is not taken, encroaches will take over the land hence the plans to secure the land of the school fo future generation.

He again encouraged the youth to always participate in the tree planting exercise because the youth is growing, the tree too is growing for future use which will help a lot, and called on the youth to accept the decision to help protect the trees planted in the various places.
