I Will Transform NPP,  Trust Me With Your  Votes- Charles Bissue Urge Delegates
An aspirant for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary position, Mr. Charles Onuawonto Bissue has posited that the ruling NPP has to be restructured going into the  2024 general elections.
He explained that the party though efficient has not been managed effectively to enhance and sustain the interest of the Ghanaian voter needed to secure political power.
Speaking on Joy News’ ‘the Pulse show’, Charles Bissue indicated that his agenda, when allowed to lead the party as the General Secretary, is to solidify the structures within the party, as well as the credibility and fortunes of the party in general.
He emphasized that the dynamics going into the 2024 elections and future events are exclusively different from what the party and its leadership had experienced, adding that “the new season calls for new but great leadership”.
He noted that the NPP has accomplished great feats yet there is more to be undertaken to modernize it and make it more effective in dealing with its internal affairs as much as it aims at winning the votes of the Ghanaian electorate.
The General Secretary hopeful indicated that the change he wishes to affect in the party is anchored on inclusiveness and sustainable collaborations within the party and with the government.
Asked if he’s gotten what it takes to ‘outshine’ the experience of John Boadu [the incumbent General Secretary], Mr. Bissue replied that records are meant to be broken.
“Every single person contesting this position has something to offer. Obama hadn’t been a president before being elected as one in the US but with him, the Democratic Party won the elections. Cameron came in with the Conservative Party at the time when they were in opposition.
“I believe every season has its unique leaders, and this is what matters,” he noted.
