Jealous Man Inflicts Cutlass  Wounds On Co-worker For Giving His Girlfriend In Breman Kontunase

A man believed to be in his 30s, is in critical condition following cutlass wounds inflicted on him by a co-worker Akwesi Amissah, for allegedly going after his girlfriend.

The unfortunate incident happened in Breman Kontunase in the Asikuma District of the Central Region.

Eyewitness narrating the incident to Soireenews.com said the suspect's girlfriend went to the road construction site at Breman Asikuma where the victim and the suspect work and pleaded with the victim to give her GH¢5 so she could use it to buy food for her child since the boyfriend was not around.

The victim is said to have given the lady Ghc20 and expecting a change of ¢15 in return. But little did he know that his act of kindness could cause him pain.

The suspect who had earlier shown a sign of suspicion got infuriated and subsequently went into his room, brought out a cutlass, and allegedly inflicted it on him.

The victim sustained injuries in the neck, hand, and other parts of his body and has since been sent to Breman Asikuma Our Lady of Grace Hospital for treatment.

For his part, the  Assembly member for Breman Kontunase, confirming the incident to Soireenews.com said, the suspect was later apprehended by residents, and co-workers and handed over to the police. 

However, he also sustained injuries and has been cuffed to the Hospital bed as he is receiving treatment. *CUE
