Man slits his throat after butchers wife to death at Assin Gyina wobodeɛ

A man believed to be in his late 30s known in the area as Kwabena has allegedly butchered his wife to death at Assin Gyina wobodeɛ Koforidua in the Assin South District of the Central Region.

Investigations made by Soireenews indicate that after killing the wife, he also attempted suicide by cutting his throat.

Currently, he is battling for his life. The deceased, Abena, has two children between the ages of 4 and 2 with the suspect.

The cause of the incident is yet to be identified, however, some residents say the heinous crime was instigated by a little misunderstanding between them.

Bystanders also claim the couple comes from Burkina Faso and have established in the area as farmers not too long ago.

Assin Fosu Divisional Police Command has conveyed the body to St. Francis Xavier Hospital for preservation whiles the suspect is receiving treatment at the same hospital.

The case is under investigation.
