The Local Council of Churches in Bechem in the Ahafo Region has donated a brand new Phototherapy Machine to the  Government  Hospital in the area.

The Local Council of Churches in Bechem in the Ahafo Region has donated a brand new Phototherapy Machine to the  Government  Hospital in the area.


This is part of the council’s efforts to help enhance health care delivery in the area.

The Chairman of the Council, Rev. Frimpong Boadu in his remarks revealed the need for the Churches in the council to engage individuals to raised financial contribution as part of their social responsibilities towards the purchase the of Phototherapy Machine at the cost of Gh 50,000 to support the Health care services in the Municipality.

He explained that “the  Bechem Gov't Hospital faces lots of challenges in their daily health care activities and called for individual support to enable the uplift of the hospital since it depends solely on government and the government alone cannot do all.
He commended individuals for supporting that initiative.
On his part, the Medical Superintendent at the Hospital, Dr, Emmanuel Agyei Darko also expressed his appreciation to the Leaders of Bechem Local Council of Churches for coming to their aid with their contributions towards the hospital especially for receiving the brand new phototherapy Machine.

He pledged that they will do all that they can to improve the standard of the hospital including the problem of jaundice cases in the Municipality.
The representative from Bechem Traditional Area, Nana Kyeame Opoku Agyemang also used the occasion to appreciate the Bechem Local Council of Churches leaders for their vision to generate financial resources to buy a new phototherapy Machine to support Bechem Gov't Hospital.
He urges the hospital authorities to ensure maintenance culture for a prong usage of the machine.
