The Queen mother of Apinto Divisional Council,  Abena Boaduwaa II has encouraged women to approach and propose to males they are attracted to, even though she is the Queen Mother of the division.

Nana Abena Boaduwaa II offered the advice during an event to commemorate International Women’s Day at Abekoas Tebe in the Prestea Huni-Valley municipality of the Western Region. The event was held to recognize International Women’s Day.

“#BreakTheBias”  was the theme for this year’s International Women’s Day celebrations. For a Sustainable Tomorrow, Gender Equality Must Begin Today.”

In honour of women’s social, political, and economic accomplishments, Gold Fields Ghana’s Tarkwa Mine hosted the commemoration event.

During this day, the majority of women join together to celebrate and agitate for equal treatment and representation in the workplace.

According to her, every woman who falls in love with a guy should find an appropriate manner to approach him, such as inviting him out to lunch or dinner and then conveying her emotions to him in person.

Nana Abena Boaduwaa II, the Queen mother of the Apinto Divisional Council,  urged women to have the bravery to propose to the men they have fallen in love with.

Dr Celestina Allotey, the Vice President in charge of Sustainable Development at Gold Fields, West Africa, recommended women cultivate the mindset of being capable of doing anything, regardless of their cultural background.

She went on to say that women are not just intended to be in the kitchen, but are also expected to take an active part in the development of society.

People are being urged to fight for a more fair, inclusive, and free of prejudice and discrimination world to level the playing field for women going ahead, according to the campaign’s theme this year.
