Deplorable road

Some aggrieved residents and the Assembly Man for Coaltar, Honourable Emmanuel Nartey has pleaded for the government’s support in constructing the deplorable road for the residents of Ayensua.

According to them, the Ayensua road is in a very bad state and needs urgent attention to immediately fix the bad roads in the area.

“The road is so bad that even motors (Okada) can’t use the road, it has resulted in lots of accidents because of its poor condition”, they added.

The Assemblyman for the area revealed, that the former Member of Parliament for the constituency began construction on the road during the election year; however, the contractor who was supposed to fix the road disappeared after the elections.

“Some of the roads that were constructed too couldn’t last for even three months, the roads are in a bad shape again”, he said.

The District Chief Executive for the constituency, Hon Josephine Awuku Ansah, speaking in an interview with the media admitted,  the road is indeed in a deplorable shape and will be fixed soon.

She assured me that, since she just began her term of office she will treat the issue as a matter of urgency.

“I just started my work and I know the President is going to support me to fix the roads”, she added.

“If you also want to help financially, please support us so we can begin fixing the roads then please reach out and donate because we can’t leave everything in the hands of government’s, she lamented.
