Warehouse collapses, two seriously injured in a torrential rain at Koftown 

According to an eyewitness, some vehicles that were in the garage suffered some damages over the collapse of the warehouse at Koforidua.

Information from the Eastern Regional Police Command shows that two persons are currently battling for their lives at the Eastern Regional government Hospital in Koforidua after a warehouse under construction collapsed on their building.

This occurred just before the Oyoko roundabout in the New Juaben North Municipality on October 23, 2021.

The ongoing building which is yet to be completed structure came down at around 2:30 am on Saturday during a heavy rainstorm that lasted over four hours in Koforidua and its surroundings.

The reports indicate that a 68-year-old Jonathan Obeng, suffered injuries to his head while his son who was sleeping suffered some cuts on parts of his body when the structure came down.
 
According to an eye witness, some vehicles that were in the garage suffered some damages, with several other properties which were affected by the collapse of the said building.
