It has emerged that the race for the Awutu Senya East Constituency parliamentary seat in the Central Region, come December 7, 2024, promises to be fierce.
 
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is particularly determined to win the Awutu Senya East sear, which has been occupied by  Mrs.Mavis Hawa Koomson for some years now.
However that the declaration of the young female politician and grassroot member of the NDC, Ms. Dina Tetteh, who is a Parliamentary Candidate  hopeful for the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Awutu Senya East Constituency, is making some seasoned politicians concerned and worried.
 Ms. Dina Tetteh, vowed to retire the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament, Mrs. Mavis Hawa Koomson, if the delegates and members of the NDC voted her massively to win the NDC parliamentary primaries.
According to her, the NPP administration led by Hawah Koomson in the constituency, has done nothing beneficial to improve the lives of the people in the various electoral areas within the constitueny.
Ms. Tetteh said all projects in Kasoa and its environs were completed by former President John Dramina Mahamma’s administration and nothing new has been added.
“If I am voted as PC, I would advocate for the necessary development in the area,” she assumed.
Speaking in an interview on TV XYZ  monitored by Soireenews.com News, the NDC Parliamentary hopeful expressed her desire to run for PC position and eventually win the seat for the NDC in the 2024  general elections.
“As a grassroots activist, Awutu Senya East requires a candidate who identifies herself with the grassroots and can work tirelessly to bring NDC into power.
On her stance of retiring Mrs Hawa Koomson, she said Kasoa is too big to experience slow growth adding that in terms of development the municipality is lacking behind.
She promised to transform Kasoa into it past glory which is now noted for crimes and other social vices. 
Ms. Tetteh revealed that elections are about getting a good message and what the party has done in the area and not about attacks or take revenge on anyone.
