A member of the legal team for John Dramani Mahama has disclosed that the petitioner will continue to pursue the court case Irrespective of the setbacks they're suffering.

The apex court of the land on Wednesday threw out John Mahama's application for the inspection of the original pink sheets of the first respondent, the Electoral Commission of Ghana which brings the number of applications unanimously dismissed by the seven-member panel presiding over the petition to four.

Most Ghanaians are calling on the former president to stop pursuing the case but Lawyer Baba Jamal says the case will continue to the latter. In an interview with Shaft FM's morning show host Ghanaba Justice monitored by Soireenews.com, the former lawmaker said "we won't stop pursuing the case, we'll keep doing our very best to get to the bottom of this, at the end Ghanaians will be the best judge" he said.

The former member of Parliament for Akwatia further warned their opponents to desist from tagging their petitioners as incompetent for the reason that the end of the hearing will justify the means.

The court is set to sit on Friday, February 5 to continue the hearing. The Petitioner, John Mahama and team has from the very onset of the hearing cried foul suggesting that the revered judges may have taken side as all seven judges unanimously dismiss their applications.

The petition is expected to last 42 days.

Two witnesses of the Petitioner have already mounted the witness box and have been cross-examined already.

The first respondent, Mrs Jean Mensa, the chairperson of the electoral commission is expected to be in the witness box in the next sitting.
