At 67 Indece Day In Madina:  Don't Let Politics To Divide   Us—Lawyer Sosu Admonishes  Constituents

MEMBER of Parliament (MP) for Madina Constituency in the Greater Accra Region ,Honourable Francis Xavier-Sosu, has advised the constituents, particularly the young people in the area to eschew violence in any form and embrace peace and unity.

"Your daily live as the constituents without politicking would continue to be there and that the NPP and NDC would continue to exist as the political parties in Ghana but we must learn to live with one another or together regardless of our political colouration.

"It it a high time that we must learn to make Ghana first in whatever things that we do as a human being, we must have the collective responsibility to commit to the unity of the country before, during after the 2024 general elections so that Ghana would remain a peaceful country for all of us to live together as one people," the NDC young outspoken politician admonished the constituents.

Honourable Xavier-Sosu made the foregoing remarks when he was speaking to the constituents at the 67th Independence Day Celebration in Madina on Wednesday March 6, 2024.

At the Madina municipality, members security agencies, government officials, school children participated in the Madina parade.

The Madina-municipality level parade was dominated by the primary through to tertiary levels.

Addressing the gathering, Honourable Xavier-Sosu pointed out that being the MP for Madina Constituency, he has so committed to the issues of education of the youth within the area, saying that it is the reasons why he begun the MP's Special Education Scholarship Scheme.

Additionally, the hardworking MP mentioned that he has also begun the MP's best teachers' award and that in this year in August "we are preparing to have a second edition of the MP's best  teachers' award where the best teacher would be given a car for his reward."

The NDC MP indicated that plans are far advance for this laudable education promotional initiative t happen life in the Madina constituency to supplement his vision to bridge the gap in the education of the area.

He reiterated that last year, his office together with the partners donated over 23,000 books worth over GH¢1.4 million to all basic schools across his constituency.

The donation of the books, according to him, has gone a long way to justify his continuous commitment to provide the educational needs and materials to the school going childre in his constituency.

He touted that his office begun free water service delivery operation dubbed "Water For All Project," which seeks to provide potable or safe drinking water in all the 54 basic school facilities including some of the private ones in the Madina constituency.

He disclosed that last week they have entered into a special deal with Qatar Charity which has expressed readiness and commitment to build a new 20 mechanical borehole water facilities for the basic schools in Madina constituency which have not had some of these water facilities. 

"So if you are here and you are the principals in charge of basic schools in Medina constituency that need anyone of this mechanical borehole, feel free to send your application through the Madina Municipal Director of Ghana Education Service (GES) so that we can make that work," he further assured.

He told the constituents that he would continue to represent their interest in the Parliament and assured to perform his parliamentary duties to the expectations to the constituents.
